Gailey Fruit Farm can be found adjacent to Dobbies Garden Centre at Gailey and is accessed from the A5 car park where there is ample free parking.
Gailey Fruit Farm has been established for 5 years.
Our" Pick Your Own " season starts in Early June with strawberries followed by gooseberries, raspberries, blackberries, tayberries and our various currants.
All of our fruit is grown in a traditional manner. No Polytunnels!
Our strawberries are grown on the ground surrounded by straw, naturally ripened by the sun, naturally irrigated by the rain which all help to give a traditional texture and superb flavour!
Many of our strawberry varieties are unavailable in the supermarkets.
What could be better or healthier than to be able to enjoy absolutely fresh fruit at the peak of its freshness and vitamin content - selected and picked by yourself.
This year we also have a range of pick your own vegetables.
All or our crops are easily accessible. It is an enjoyable exercise for the whole family.
If you feel unable to pick your own fruits and veg or are short of time, please visit our new farm shop where you will find a welcoming display of freshly picked fruit together with our home grown vegetables - including freshly dug baby new potatoes, asparagus, spring onions, lettuce and other seasonal produce.
When you are buying produce from our farm shop you can be assured of freshness and taste with the knowledge that the use of less packaging and near zero food miles helps to preserve our environment.
The British Summer would not be complete without a bowl of "Strawberries and Cream" so to compliment our fruits we are able to supply a range of luxury creams including organic double made from the milk of Jersey cows and delicious locally produced Jersey Ice Creams.
We also have available from the farm shop a selection of local award winning cheeses, Local Honey, Free Range Eggs and many more luxury delicacies,
If you are visiting a friend, why not take them some of our freshly cut flowers or home made preserves!
After picking your fresh produce and admiring the views you could take a stroll around Dobbies Garden Centre and perhaps enjoy some refreshments in their restaurant. A play area is also available for the children to enjoy!
WE HOPE TO SEE YOU SOON !!
